The making of the sling bag

The making of the new shoulder / sling bag. 

I am loving how this style can be carried in a few different ways. Definitely helps to have versatility when you are also dealing with a little one! Even roomy enough for a few diapers! 😉

This leather is so soft with a beautiful slight pebbled texture, and a little sheen.

After cutting out the pieces, I thin down the edges, which is called “skiving”. This makes for seams that are not bulky. 

Sewing! I LOVE my sewing machine. What a workhorse. 

Here is a shot during assembly, before the lining and zipper is dropped in.
